Haruko shares beautifully about her early life in Tokyo, Japan in what she describes as the pressure cooker of a strict Catholic school and a strongly patriarchal family and culture where women's voices were not valued or respected. She describes how moving to America opened up a whole new world for her and talks about her evolution as an artist and a musician, listening to inner guidance and following her heart regardless of the circumstances. Haruko also treats us to a moment of bliss through her flute.
